SMS package “100 SMS in Europe”
There are three mobile operators in Lithuania. Each of them provides prepaid services under a separate brand.
- Telia - prepaid brand: Extra and Ežys;
- Tele2 - prepad brand: Pildyk;
- Bitė - prepaid brand: Labas;
There is also a wireless Internet provider LRTC, which uses WiMAX and 4G/LTE technologies. It provides services under the Mezon brand.
Coating

The three main operators sell their prepaid services under different names: Pildyk, Labas and Ežys. Tariffs, compared to the EU, are quite affordable.

No passport or registration in Lithuania is required for purchase.
Roaming in the EU
Lithuania is a member of the European Union, where new international roaming rules have been in effect since June 2017.
However, as is often the case, there are exceptions. All three operators are allowed to apply surcharges to domestic tariffs for roaming in the EU.
Telia blocks data roaming on Extra and Ežys cards, while Labas and Pildyk release combined packages for roaming in the EU. You can read more detailed information on each operator below.
Extra and Ežys (Telia)
Telia (formerly TEO), owned by the Swedish-Finnish Telia Group, has the best 3G coverage. 4G/LTE covers almost 99% of the population. The operator offers two prepaid tariffs called Extra and Ežys (translated as hedgehog).
How much does it cost and where to buy the package?
Extra and Ežys SIM cards are sold at prices ranging from 1.50 to 2.00 euros. They can be bought in Telia communication stores, in Iki, Rimi, Maxima supermarkets, in kiosks, cafes and other retail outlets. There, as a rule, you can purchase checks for replenishing your account.
All Extra and Ežys SIM cards are issued in triple size. You can choose which one you will use: mini, micro or nano.
Extra and Ežys SIM are very similar, but include different data packages. SIM card management is the same. Same coverage, application and payment methods.
Activation and Validation
To activate the SIM card, you must dial 1544. Listen to the voice menu; press "9" to select English; then press "1" to activate the card and hear your phone number. Activation is free.
To check your balance, dial 1544, press “2” in the voice menu (€ 0.03 per request) and you will hear the balance of your number.
The SIM card is valid for 100 days after its first use. Then, for 250 days, it will only work for incoming calls and SMS messages. After 250 days, the SIM card will be blocked. To extend the validity, you need to top up your account. Each €1 top-up adds 30 days to the life of the SIM card.
Roaming
By default, roaming outside Lithuania is disabled. To enable it, text +TRP to 1566 (cost €0.05). After this, you will be able to use the SIM card, but only for calls and SMS.
Ezys account replenishment
You can fund your account in various ways:
- With a recharge card: You can find a plastic card with a special barcode in every new Ezys package. With this card you can make instant top-ups at supermarkets, kiosks and gas stations. If you want to top up your account, simply give your top up card and the required amount of money (or your credit card) to the cashier. The cashier scans the barcode and your account will be topped up instantly. The minimum deposit amount is € 1.
- refill vouchers: you can buy a refill voucher at kiosks, supermarkets, gas stations and Telia salons. The check will contain all the information that will allow you to top up your account with the required amount. This is usually done using a USSD request. Checks have an expiration date.

Pildyk (Tele2)
The operator Tele2 has insignificant 3G coverage, but worse than Telia. 4G/LTE covers 95% of the population. Their brand for the prepaid tariff is called Pildyk (translated as top-up).
How much does it cost and where to buy a sim card
A SIM card, which costs about 2 euros, can be bought in Tele2 stores and small stores throughout the country. Checking your ussd balance using *245# costs 0.04 euros. You can also check your balance using a smartphone app or online.

The 3G/4G coverage of Bite (translated as bee) is inferior to Telia and Tele2, but is still at a high level. 4G/LTE is available to 97 percent of the population. Their brand for the prepaid tariff is called Labas (translated as hello).

The Labas SIM card can be purchased in Bite stores, Rimi, Iki, Norma, Maxima stores, etc.
The package contains a SIM card of three sizes - there is no need to cut out the one you need.

The State Lithuanian Radio and Television Center (LRTC), also known as Telecentras, provides telecommunications services under the Mezon brand. It provides services in the 4G/LTE range, covering 70% of the Lithuanian population.

How to call Lithuania
If you live in Belarus and you need to contact a resident of Lithuania, you need to know the code of Lithuania, the city in which the subscriber lives and his personal telephone number. In simplified form, the dialing rule looks like this:
